Working together for a green planet
ROSENGARTEN pet crematoria are committed to a sustainable future. The Green Paw is our promise to incorporate environmental awareness and sustainability into all our business activities.
What is the Green Paw?
The Green Paw represents our comprehensive efforts to minimise the environmental impact of our business activities. From energy efficiency to the responsible use of resources, we strive to bring about positive change.
Goals
We have set ourselves the goal of regularly reviewing existing processes and establishing further, additional measures for the sustainable optimisation of our procedures. With the Green Paw and proactive communication on this topic, we want to raise awareness of sustainability. The aim is to motivate all individuals and groups involved in our services (suppliers, partners, etc.) to also recognise sustainability as an important goal. We hope this will have an even greater impact on the environment.
Our sustainability principles
At ROSENGARTEN Pet Crematorium, we are committed to sustainable and responsible practices in every area of our business. We are dedicated not only to incorporating sustainable practices into our processes, but also to continuously improving them. By proactively implementing targeted measures to reduce our environmental impact, we are working to minimise the effect of our business activities on the environment. Sustainability is also an integral part of our daily work, which is constantly being expanded through the ongoing integration of innovative solutions into our operational processes. In this way, we ensure that our commitment to the environment is deeply rooted in our corporate culture and influences our actions.
Our sustainability efforts cover the following areas:
- Purchase and sale
- Infrastructure
- Technology
- Marketing
- Overall organisation
Purchase and sale: efficiency and reuse
- Multiple use of packaging materials: Our packaging and filling materials are carefully selected to enable multiple uses, thereby significantly reducing waste.
- Supplier management: We select our suppliers based on sustainability criteria, with a focus on local sources. Our main suppliers for urns are located in Liechtenstein, Switzerland and neighbouring countries.
Infrastructure: Energy efficiency
- Electricity from solar energy: A photovoltaic system with a capacity of 150 kW was installed in Kirchberg BE to cover our energy needs and reduce grid consumption by more than 50%. A photovoltaic system is also in operation in Küssnacht am Rigi.
Marketing: environmentally conscious materials
- Sustainable marketing materials: We use compostable materials for our marketing materials, which preserve the quality of the raw materials over several product life cycles.
Technology: optimisation and cleanliness
- Waste heat utilisation: The waste heat from the cremation process is used to supply our and other business premises with heating and hot water without requiring additional energy sources.
- Filtering of pollutants: Our advanced filter systems ensure that emissions during cremation remain well below the legal limits.
Overall organisation: recycling and waste management
- Recycling initiative: We recycle a wide range of materials, including PET, glass, paper, batteries and metals, to further reduce our waste production.
