Process
Losing a beloved companion causes us to ask many questions. One of them is: ‘What will happen to my pet now?’ By opting to have your faithful friend cremated at ROSENGARTEN Pet Crematorium, we relieve you of many worries. Our experienced team, not to mention a detailed schedule, create transparency and give you certainty when saying goodbye to your cherished companion. We are also more than happy to tell you in person about the steps that follow.
1. Collecting and receiving your pet
If your precious pet has passed away, there are several ways of getting your faithful friend to our premises. If you would like it to be collected from the vet’s or from your home, we will do everything we can to collect your pet promptly. Our trained transport staff will take care of collecting your cherished companion in a respectful and dignified manner. Your pet will be transferred directly to the pet crematorium, without intermediate storage.
If you’d like to bring your pet to us in person, we’ll be there for you on site in Küssnacht am Rigi. Our empathetic team will be by your side there too. We are available all year round.
Contact us in person by phone or by email. We’d be more than happy to take your order and discuss all the details with you or your vet and fill out the cremation order together. This will be with your faithful friend every single step of its final journey.
2. Arrival
Once your pet has arrived on our premises, it is weighed and then refrigerated until the time it is cremated.
The cremation order is read into our computer system on site so that all the information is documented.
3. Farewell
That moment of letting go is a moment of ambivalent feelings – where we’re accompanied by comforting memories and a deep sadness too.
Individual cremation allows you to experience those final few moments with your dearly departed pet in our farewell room. One last look, maybe petting them one last time, then it’s time to say goodbye. That last moment belongs to you and you alone. You are allowed to give your faithful friend flowers, a letter or a photo to take with them on their final journey.
You will find space and time for memories and mourning on our premises. But the owners aren’t the only ones who find comfort here. We also welcome four-legged friends onto our premises to say goodbye to their deceased companion. Because, despite all the sorrow, ROSENGARTEN Pet Crematorium is also a place that wants to celebrate the final farewell as part of a full life. A place of safety and comfort.
4. Cremation
When cremating your pet, our staff also ensure that all pets are treated with care and respect. Depending on your wishes, your pet will be cremated either on its own or together with other pets.
Once the cremation process is complete, the ashes of your cherished companion need to cool down before we then place them in the urn of your choice.
You can also have extras (such as a picture or a personal letter) cremated if desired. But, with respect for our environment in mind, this option should be used sparingly, and with materials that are as environmentally friendly as possible. Please be sure that you remove any mementos (like your furry friend’s collar) that you would like to keep and that you don’t want to have cremated under any circumstances, before we take your pet into our care.
5. Handover
Meeting each and every requirement, we handle the process of having your pet’s ashes added to a pet urn or making a memento such as a paw print or a custom piece of jewellery. A personal memory of your pet friend is something that nobody can ever take away from you. It gives you comfort and strength during the difficult parting phase. Our keepsakes in the form of pet urns, jewellery and other mementos can be found on our website.
Following cremation, the urn and any jewellery or keepsakes are carefully customised. Afterwards, our staff prepare for dispatch either to the vet’s practice or to your home address. You also have the option of collecting your precious pet’s ashes from us at the crematorium. We do our utmost to bring each pet back home in a timely manner.
6. Commemoration
We have created a place of safety and comfort on our premises. Where pet owners can grieve as they wish, where requests are heard, and the burden is lifted when you don’t know what to do anymore. Our communal grave is a peaceful memorial for our pet owners, who are always welcome to visit.
The feeling of grief is something that unites us all. And that’s why we created a digital memorial portal – www.rosengarten-sterne.de. We invite everyone to grieve together and to find comfort so they can eventually feel joy in remembering their cherished companion. Our team will be happy to assist you at any time.
